Davinder Pal Singh

Davinder Pal Singh, a banker, social activist and a preacher, was born on 24th July 1954 at Shambu, Distt. Patiala, Punjab. After equipping himself with high qualification of M.A. (Eco.), CAIIB, PGDPM & IR, Banking Oriented Paper in Hindi, he performed service in Punjab & Sind Bank form 13th April 1975 till 21st May 2012. He worked in different capacities and took VRS as DGM. During his service career, he was sent on deputation from 23rd May 2006 to Takht Sachkhand Sri Hazur Sahib, Nanded as Superintendent to look after the administration and to organize the Tri-Centenary celebration of Guruta-Gaddi Divas of Sri Guru Granth Sahib and Sachkhand Gaman Divas of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji during October 2008. He performed his duties for the said celebrations with such a dedication that he was asked to continue to work on this post, but, as the bank did not allow further extension for deputation, he sought VRS and continue to work till 22nd 2013. After that, he joined Nisa Industrial Services Pvt. Ltd. as Vice President on 1st January 2014. He was later on promoted as Senior Vice President. He worked in this company as Regional Head for various states like Punjab, Haryana, Himachal etc. However, when Sachkhand Board Member again requested him to provide his services, he rejoined as OSD with effect from 1.4.2016. He also worked as DRUCC member of Nanded Division and got twelve new trains introduced from Hazur Sahib, Naded to different parts of the country for the convenience of the pilgrims. He also got installed the escalator at Hazur Sahib Railway station for their convenience. He is a role-model not just because he held important posts, but also because of the keen interest taken by him in the welfare activity for his community. For his services at Hazur Sahib and also as President of Gurmat Parsar Sewa Society, Chandigarh (founded by him and working since 1997). He has been honoured at various places in India and abroad. He was invited at Norway in July 2013 for one of such honours. He is possessed of the management qualities, the leadership’s skills and the Gursikh qualities of humility, humanity and helping nature. His overall personality inspires others to work in a dedicated manner and do justice with the jobs entrusted to a person. Undoubtedly, he is a role-model for all, particularly for Sikhs.
