Rana Inderjeet Singh

Rana Inderjeet Singh, a Sikh missionary, founder chairman of Gurmat Gian Charitable Trust, was born on 3rd April, 1963 at Sirsa, Haryana, India in the house of S. Jagtar Singh and Bibi Kulwant Kaur. After completing his education ending with graduation from Sirsa, he started his career with LIC. While in service, he got inclined toward the important task of preaching Sikh religion. In fact, right from his early age he had an interest in spreading the message of the Masters and as such he had started associating himself with spiritual training camps. In 1996 a group of few selfless and devoted persons setup Gurmat Gian Charitable Trust with the sole purpose of spreading the message of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in its true spirit amongst the masses. Viewing the dedication, commitment and leadership qualities in Rana Inderjit Singh, he was made chairman of the trust. To start with, this trust opened Gurmat Gian Missionary College (GGMC) to provide two year Diploma Course in Gurmat (Sikh Religion) studies with 10 students only. Presently there are 150 students in this college. This is a residential course and all the lodging and boarding facilities are provided without any fee.
Rana Inderjit Singh has made dedicated efforts during the last 20 years to produce more than 500 preachers who are rendering their services to the society at different places in India and abroad. Some of these students, namely Bhai Sarabjeet Singh Dhunda, Bhai Harjinder Singh Sabra and Bhai Sukhwinder Singh Dadehar are well known international preachers. The efforts made by S. Rana and the other Trustee of the team have resulted into starting of some other projects also which relate to the spiritual and general improvement in the personality of youngsters. These projects are meant for carrer guidance, creating employment, social upliftment of downtrodden, eradicating drug menace, female feticide, universal brotherhood and helping the needy students and patients irrespective of their caste creed and colour. In addition to the Gurmat Studies courses and personality development programme, the trust has also undertaken programmes in rural and backward areas for the benefit of women and less educated people like vanjaras and other backward classes. A school called Grace Public School is also been Narinderpal Singh Rana Inderjeet Singh 500 Sikh 226 Role Models run for poor and needy students. The trust also organizes blood camps, Gurmat Matrimonial service and publishes Gurmat literature including monthly magazine ‘Gurmat Virsa’. It also provides financial aid to deserving students and organizes Gurmat training camps every year. S. Rana had been honoured by various organizations for his services to the community. These awards and honours include Kes Sambhal Parchar Sanstha: Award of Honour 2010, Alag Shabad Yag : Puran Singh Dhaami Award 2010, Sahibzada Jujhar Singh Gurmat Missionary College : Sidki Award 2012, Bhai Gurdas Educational Council : Special Award 2012, Fateh TV Channel Award 2015. The fact that S. Inderjit Singh Rana has dedicated his life for the service to the community, and even forgone all the promotions coming on his way so that he could focus upon such selfless services make him a real role-model. Further he has been holding important posts in other organizations also which are working in the field of social and religious education. For the promotion of various projects of his trust and other organizations, he had to visit a number of countries like USA, Canada, U.K., Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand and Malaysia. Thus, the role-model Gursikh is an international preacher of Sikh values and teachings of the Gurus.
