Rajwant Singh


Rajwant Singh, the key person in starting and running the popular “Fateh Channel from Ludhiana, was
born on 30th November 1964 in the house of S. Pritpal Singh and Satwant Kaur. He completed his formal
education with graduation followed by a diploma in electronics. This diploma created interest in his mind
to start citi cable business in Ludhiana. In fact he was the pioneer who brought cable tv to North India.
During the Gulf war of 1989 he was the one who kept the masses informed about the situation through cable
tv broadcast. A turning point came into his life in 2005 when he returned from the death bed. This turning
point triggered his life journey towards spiritual path. He made a decision to spread Sikhism through media
channel. First time he started broadcasting live Gurbaani from Gurudwara Dukhniwaaran Sahib Ludhiana
through city cable. This made him popular and a role model among the lovers of Gurbaani. However, he
was not satisfied with it. He wanted to promote Sikhism through Gurbaani and broadcast it to reach every
household around the world. His long cherished desire to start 24 hours gurbaani channel came true in
2013, when on the auspacious day of 13th April, The foundation of Khalsa, he started Fateh Channel, his
tribute to the Sikh Sangat. This channel is dedicated to the sole cause of promoting Sikhism, by broadcasting
gurbaani and running programmes like “Aaye mil gursikh” “Panth Dian Singniyan” “Sikh Youth” where
prominent Sikh personalities are introduced to the audience, especially the sikh youth. It is his dream and
vision to take the Name of Baba Fateh Singh to every house of the world. He has now become a role model
in the Media Sector.
