Analjit Singh, a business tycoon of Delhi was born on 11th January 1954 in the house of Bhai Mohan Singh, who was the Chairman of famous Ranbaxy Group. The Ranbaxy is one of the top companies in Pharma business. Analjit Singh studied in the Doon School and then did his graduation in Commerce at Sri Ram College of Commerce, Delhi University. For his Management degree, Analjit Singh attended Boston University, School of Management in 1979. After completing his education, he started Max India in 1982. Since then he has been a compulsive serial entrepreneur. Gradually, he became Chairman of Max Health Care and Max Bupa Health Insurance Company Ltd. He also became Executive Chairman of Max Life Insurance. Presently, he is one of the richest Sikhs in India. For his services in the field of business, he has been honoured by many organizations. He was awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2011 by the President of India for his services in the field of business. In 2012, he was awarded the Golden Peacock award for his contributions to the society. Earlier Max Financial Services Ltd. was focusing solely on the life insurance business which is a joint venture with Mithus Sumitomo Insurance Company Ltd. However, S. Analjit Singh’s future plans include taking his Max Group into various other fields including information technology, real estate, education and skill development.
