Dr. Gaggandeep Singh Alg
Dr. Gaggandeep Singh Alg is a role model british Sikh doctor because of his forming an organization of
various doctors called the British Sikh Doctors Organisation (BSDO), which is aimed at serving families and
communities regardless of caste, creed or religion in accordance with the teachings and guidance of Sri Guru
Granth Sahib Ji (The Eternal Sikh Guru). This organization consists of students and professionals from all
backgrounds. It is a non political charitable organization which under takes the following tasks. Educate and
promote health awareness amongst all communities, to provide free health screening to all communities and,
when needed, referring individuals to their own General Practitioners/ Dentists/ Optometrists/ Pharmacists
and to help support those involved or wanting to get involved in health care.This includes school and
college students who aspire to study health care courses such as Medicine/ Dentistry/ Optometry/Pharmacy.
Undergraduate students currently studying health care courses, Post-Graduates, including qualified health
care professionals To be a charity, helping those less fortunate than us. This organization organizes various
healthcare programs, meetings, seminars, acadmic evenings and discussions, wherein apart from general
public, medical students and fresh doctors can obtain useful awareness health information on different
aspects and subjects. For example during last year BSDO held more than 50 meetings at community centres
offering there by screening and health advice. About 150 doctors and medical students took part in it.
Unique services being provided by this organization under the leadership of its founder doctor have made
Dr. Gaggandeep Singh a role model in this regard.
