Dr. Sabh Singh Khambay, a Gursikh Oral and Maxillo-facial and Skull Base Surgeon based at Mumbai,
was born on 29th October 1950 in the house of S. Kishan Singh Pala Singh and Sardarni Kartar Kaur
Khambay in Bombay. He graduated in Chemistry Principal and Micro Biology as a subsidiary subject from
Wilson College, Mumbai in the year 1971. Then he completed his graduation in Dentistry in 1971 and
Post Graduation in Maxillo-Facial and Oral Surgery in 1977 from Nair Hospital Dental College. During
all these years Dr. Sabh Singh has been increasing his qualifications and experience by participating in
various advanced training programmes in India and abroad. These courses include the advanced training
programme organized by the British Council in conjunction with Cannisburn Hospital, Glasgow in 1986,
Surgical Course of I.M.Z.

Implant System, National University of Singapore in 1989, Basic course in Rigid
Internal Fixation conducted by AO Synthesis in Chennai in 2009, Advanced Course in management of
Cranio-facial Anomalies conducted by AO Synthesis, Switzerland in Bangalore in 2010, Advanced Course
in the Management of Cranio-facial Injuries Conducted by AO Synthesis, Switzerland in 2011. Dr. Sabh
Singh is quite well known as an experienced Oral and Maxillo- Facial and Base Skull Surgeon dealing with
different kinds of disorders like cranio-facial anomalies, Facial trauma, TMJt. ankylosis, Orthognathic
surgery, infections of the facial spaces, cancerous lesions of the head and neck, and base skull surgery. He
is holding a number of prestigious positions like Trustee and Ex-Vice President of Association of Medical
Consultant, Mumbai; President Nanavati Super Speciality Hospital Medical Consultant Association; Vice
President Guru Nanak Hospital Medical Consultant Association and General Secretary of Association
of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeons of India President of Indian Society of Oral Implantologist. He has
a considerable teaching experience, and has organized various seminars and National and International
conferences, have been faculty member of the Asian-Oceanen Skull Base Surgery, technology transfer
workshop in Head and Neck Cancer, National ENT conference and National Cosmo laser Conference. He
has delivered lectures and presented scientific papers at various National and International conferences. His
rich experience and reputation in the specific field has brought him a numbers of awards and honors. He got
best scientific award at the National Conference of Association of Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgeon of India
in Madras in 1981. He received Certificate of Merit from the University of Bombay for having stood first in
the University at the Second B.D.S. examination. He is also recipient of the Students Plaque award, awarded
by the International College of Dentist’s India Section. He is affiliated to various hospitals as consultant
and surgeon in the respective field. These hospitals include Nanavati Super Specialty Hospital, Mumbai
since 1983, Fortis Hospital, Mulund, Khar Hinduja Health Care Surgical Hospital, Guru Nanak Hospital,
Wockhardt Hospital, Mumbai Central, Bhaktivedanta Hospital Mira road, Seven Hills Hospital, Marol,
Mumbai, Sun ridges Hospital. Apart from the status and position as a Surgeon held by Dr. Khambay, he is
also known for his social and religious activities. He often organizes Dental camp in and around Mumbai
and other areas near around. He had led a team of medical personal in the aftermath of earthquake in Latur
and Bidada in Kutch Gujarat. He also leads a Medical team which looks after the health of the sports person
during the sports meets such as Bombay to Poona cycle race (once the race was up to Goa). He loves his
religion and leads a Jatha to Sri Hemkunt Sahib every year since the last twenty seven years and conducts
health camps along the route at Rishikesh, Kirti Nagar, Pipalkoti, Govindghat, Govind Dham, Hemkunt
Sahib, Badrinath, and Haridwar. Further, he participates in a mega health camp which is held every year
mainly on the Sunday before Guru Gobind Singh birthday at Rishikesh. This year the camp was held on 8th
January 2017. All these activities of Dr. Khambay make him a great role-model both in his profession as
well as his non-professional activities aimed at the welfare of the people in the true spirit of Sikh principle
of Sarbat Da Bhala.
