Gurbir Singh Machaki

Gurbir Singh Machaki, a highly successful and prosperous agriculturist of Punjab, India was born on 8th April 1967 at Ferozepur. He started his education at Abohar but completed his education with Graduation in commerce and Masters in Personnel Management and Industrial Relations at Chandigarh. He worked with Ranbaxy Laboratories Ltd. from 1991 to 1996. In addition to being an H.R. professional, he has experience in handling issues related to production cost control, process system design and audit. Having worked in an environment controlled by FDA (USA), he has a fair understanding of requirements of international Food & Drugs administrators with respect to production of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API). As an agriculturist since 1996, he has developed viable economic models for Horticulture, Cotton and Wheat farming. He has a fair understanding of challenges faced by Punjab farmers and workable solutions to overcome some of them. He is a Protagonist for Cooperative farming practices, developing workable solution for economic viability for Organic farming in Punjab and has interests in Horticulture, Wheat, Cotton, Mustard & Barley farming in addition to Forestry. In addition to being a successful HR professional and agriculturist, he becomes a role-model for his community activities. He is associated with various social and religious organizations and takes keen interest in Sikh religious events and activities.
