Gurvendra Singh Suri is a Sikh Entrepreneur of U.S.A., who has won name and fame not only because
of his flourishing business, but also because of his social and charitable activities. Born and raised in Kota,
India, Mr. Suri received his Engineering Degree in Computer Science from M.N.R. Engineering College in
Allahabad, India. When he set up his business in Irving in the state of Texas in U.S.A. in 1995 under the
name and style of OPTIMAL SOLUTIONS, the said Organization became so popular that in addition to
Irving, its offices were opened in Washington, U.S.A., Munich, Germany, Toronto, Canada and Bangalore,
India. Optimal Solutions helps companies and Public Sector Organizations to plan, deploy and maintain
sophisticated solutions that stream line business, processes, fuel supply chain efficiency and turn Raw Data
into pure competitive advantage. The global clients of this Organization include big names like ExxonMobil,
Pepsi and NASA with their SAP applications. Mr. Suri’s leadership evidenced by his expanded business
has brought him many honours as an entrepreneur. In 2002 he was declared Entrepreneur of the year by
the greater Dallas Indo American Chamber of Commerce. In 2004, D.F.W. Asian American Chamber of
Commerce honoured him accordingly. Since then he has been honoured by various such organizations.
Whereas Optimal Solutions, recognizing its social obligation is engaged in various charities including
supporting a school for Economically Challanged Families, providing aid to natural disaster victims and
conducting numerous care package drives to support U.S. troops in Afghanistan and Iraq, Mr. Suri’s
personal charitable activities are also worth appreciating. His personal charities include care and support for
disadvantaged people and non-profit organizations across borders in the form of Medical care, Educational
Scholarships, Vocational facilities and Cause-based funding. As a Gursikh, he generously contributes time
and funds to numerous Sikh Organizations and participates actively in Sikh Community Affairs to promote Sikh values. He frequently meets with and serves as an advisor for the leadership of Sikh coalition ENSAFF,
SALDEF and the Sikh Human Development Organization. It is because of his notable contribution in this
regard that he won in 2008 Sikh Entrepreneur Year Award. He presently resides in South Lake, Texas with
his family.
