Rubber Pvt. Ltd.and KJP &Associates, collectively known as Sigma Group of Industries. S. Jagdip Singh
is the Chairman of this group. The Group also had Sigma VibracousticIndia Pvt. Ltd., a joint venture of
Sigma with Vibracoustic of Germany, in its fold till a few years ago. This Company employs more than 1000
workers. Sigma disinvested its share in this Company in favour of the joint venture partner.
The group companies are engaged in manufacturing of Automobile components, which are supplied to
almost all car/truck/bus manufacturers in India, Germany and USA. Due to its large manufacturing base
and reach, Sigma is considered as one of the largest and well respected groups in the field of Automobile
components manufacturing. The Group employs over 4000 people in its manufacturing facilities located in
the States of Punjab & Haryana and has a marketing office in Chicago, USA. One of the group companies
is a joint venture with Freudenberg of Germany and NOK of Japan. This company is a certified supplier
to several German & American Car Manufacturers such as Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, VW, Porsche in
Germany and GM, Ford and Chrysler in USA.
The initiative which was taken by him about five decades back, in entering manufacturing of quality
products by setting up own manufacturing unit for export to the developed world, has now proved his
farsightedness as what has now been envisioned by our Hon’ble Prime Minister in the “Make in India”
program, which is devised to transform India into a global manufacturing hub, was espoused by Mr. Jagdip
Singh long ago and being practiced in the Sigma Group of Companies since long. During his recent meeting
with Mr. Amitabh Kant, Chief Executive Officer, NITI Aayog, this fact was widely discussed and was well
appreciated and acknowledged by him. Hon’ble Home Minister Shri Raj Nath Singh awarded First Prize to
Sigma Group in a conclave to promote Make in India at VigyanBhawan, New Delhi.
A widely travelled man, S. Jagdip Singh is also a member of several prestigious Chambers of Commerce
and Industry in India like FICCI, CII, ACMA, EEPC, PHD Chamber of Commerce & Industry etc. and also
various well known Clubs like Delhi Golf Club, Royal Springs Golf Course, Srinagar India International
Centre, India Islamic & Cultural Centre and several others in the country.
The spiritual aspect of the personality of S. Jagdip Singh is equally strong. The trust created by him with
the name “SundarSantokh Foundation Charitable Trust” speaks volumes for his philanthropist activities
which extend financial help to widows, sick, destitute, old and helpless people and work for the promotion
and propagation of Sikh religious values and teachings of the Masters. Thus, it is not only his vast business
empire and his cordial relations with the high ups in political and business circles, but also his concern for
the poor and helpless people, who are paid regularly till they become capable of earning their livelihood or
cured from their decease, which make him a real role-model in the true spirit of a Gursikh. He is residing
