Kulmohan Singh, a Sikh preacher from Delhi, was born on 7th October 1951 in the house of Late S.
Gurmukh Singh Ji. He graduated from Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College Delhi University followed
by a Master’s degree in Economics. In 2011 he did Master’s in Comparative Studies, Eastern and western
religion from Punjabi University, Patiala. Professionally he is a retired Banker. He served in Punjab &
Sind Bank for many years. One of the distinguished tasks done by him at the Bank was the preparation of
Punjab & Sind Bank Calendar, which, was prepared by him for 13 yrs. He was elected Member of Delhi
Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee in the year 1979 for the first time. Since then he has been elected
Member of this Committee time and again i.e. in 1995, 2000 and 2002. During this period he was appointed
as General Secretary of the Committee and nominated as a member of Takht Sri Patna Sahib Committee. In
2013, he was nominated as a Member of DSGMC and given the prestigious responsibility as a Chief Advisor
& PR of Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee. Also appointed/nominated as Chairman/Advisor/
Secretary for so many religious and social societies/Trusts. S. Kulmohan Singh is a role model as he has
always thought of serving the Panth irrespective of the Group/Party in majority at DSGMC. That is why,
he played an active role in construction and running of Guru Harkirshan Public Schools in Delhi, started
a Gurmat College at Gurdwara Mata Sundri Ji New Delhi and organized various important Sikh religion
functions and occasions. Another wonderful achievement of S. Kulmohan Singh relates to Sikh Religion
Quiz program “Aao Baniye Gursikh Pyara” on the lines of the famous program Kaun Banega Crorepati. This
program started in 2013 is the Brain Child of S. Kulmohan Singh and S. Harjinder Singh. Both of them are
also the anchors of the program in which questions relating to Sikh Religion, Gurbani and History are asked
and the participants are honored with prizes on the basis of different stages cleared by them. Anyone, who
clears all the three stages becomes a Gursikh Pyara. Till the time of writing this profile, this unique program
has successfully completed 3 years and is being broadcast on two TV channels, viz, Chardi Kala and Fathe
TV. The dedications of the two anchors shows their love for the religion and an ardent desire to connect the
young generation with the Sikh religion. S. Kulmohan Singh has a son named S. Manandeep Singh (he has
Passed out IIM) presently working as General Manager Reliance Jio and a daughter Dr. Vineet Kaur BDS
and his wife Mrs. Upinder Kaur, M.Phill. He is presently living in Delhi.
