Manmeet Singh
Manmeet Singh is a well known face of television and films. Born in a devout Sikh family of Haldwani,
Uttarakhand, on 29th July 1969, he graduated with a bachelor degree in communications from Mumbai
University. As he had a lot of interest in Singing and Acting right from his childhood, he entered the glamour
world as a model. Since then he has acted in more than 25 movies (eg Rab NE Bana Di Jodi, Bombay to
Bankok, Swami etc), modeled in more than 100 TV commercials, made and acted in small films related to
Sikhism. These small films make the people aware of Sikh identity, values and contribution of the Sikhs in
making the society and the nation. His love for his religion is evidenced by the fact that he has acted with
his sikh identity and has no where compromised to defile the same. When his wife Summeet Kaur Sawhney,
with her superb intelligence and dedication, won the highest award of rupees five cores in Koun Banega
Corepati, the couple became a role model couple to make all the Sikhs proud of them. The couple lives in
Mumbai.
