Gurpreet Singh

Gurpreet Singh was born on 14th June 1973 at Village Ghuman Kalan Dist. Gurdaspur. He started his education at Sainik School Kapurthala and then completed it with diploma in mass communications and a master degree in Human resources management. He started his career with Zee TV channel where he achieved popularity for anchoring a religious program (Ek Omkar). Since then he has worked as a reporter (NCR) and assistant producer with Zee as a stringer Mohali Dist. for IBN-7 and also for 2 years with India News and three years at Mohali Dist. with MHone News. At present he is the head of Asia for Sangat TV Birmingham (UK). His vast experience with electronic media has made him well known and popular in this field. He is all the more known for being associated with various programs on different channels related with sikh religion. He is perfect role model not only for his experience and achievements on electronic media, but also for his superb modeling and acting talent. With his charming personality (He is six feet tall with fair complexion), he has acted as a model for some adds (eg standard T.D.B. Scooter). He also played main character of Rajbir Singh & wrote the script of Punjabi VCD “Jagdi Jot”. The historical characters which he has played show his ability of understanding the characters and acting talent. When TV serial by Raj Babar on the life of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh was telecast at DD National, he played the role of S. Jassa Singh Ramghariya. He further played lead role of & in “Baba Banda Singh Bahadhur” first ever film project of SGPC. Again he played lead role of Jathedar Baghel Singh in Punjabi Feature Film “Anokhe Amar Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji” and also wrote apart of its screenplay. Gurpreet has won many honors and awards in appreciation of all his such achievements. He is a wonderful Sikh role model for our up-coming generation.
