Jasmine Kaur, a unique combination of intelligence and talent, was born on 24 October 1989 in the house of S. Jatinderpal Singh (Retd. PCS officer) and Dr. Iqbal Kaur (Assit. Prof.). She was born and brought up in Ludhiana.She went to Mumbai for her Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology and then moved to Montreal (Canada) for her Masters in Food Science at Mcgill University. She came into prominence when she became Miss PTC Punjabi in 2011. This got her a chance to act in a Punjabi movie ‘Bathinda Express’. She is a role model because of her brilliant academic performance as well as her commendable artistic talent. She has co-authored research papers on one hand and grabbed media attention on the other for being a talented artist. She hosted the show Desi Artiste on PTC Punjabi North America. Presently she is working as Quality Assurance Manager at a food chain in New York City and is also a freelance TV host. She is living in New York City with her husband S. Taranbir Singh.
