Sujinder Singh Sangha

Sujinder Singh Sangha is a well known name in England for the last 45 years. He had his education in England and completed the same with a Doctorate Research Degree on the subject of Leaders and Leadership in Education from the Unversity of Birmingham. He worked in Metal Industry for about 14 years as a Quality Inspector and then became a FE Lecturer. He became Principal/Chief Executive of Stockton River side College in 2002 and remained on this position for 10 years. He was the U.K’s first Asian Principal of a General Further Education College. During his period at SRC, the College completed its development of the state of the Art premises at the Teesdale Campus. He also led the merger with Bede Sixth Form in Billingham and was principal during the development of the new 10 Million pounds sixth from building and SRC Sports Centre, opened by the Duke of York. Further, SRC developed strong connections with local businesses, communities and Public Sector Organisations which helped the students to avail of better opportunities and progress in their careers.
Dr. Sangha has also been associated with various social, religious and leadership projects for his community and other minority ethnic groups. He has written and published two books, established a Publishing Company and remained Editor of a Bilingual fortnightly for about 8 years. He has won many awards and honors for the excellent work done by him in the field of education, educational leadership management and for the betterment of his community’s relations with others. Considering his influence on the society as a role model, he was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2010 by Her Majesty, the Queen in recognition of his significant contribution at local and national level.
