Description

Dr. Dharamveer Singh is an example for an excellent teacher, principal and an able administrator. He was born in 1960 in Amritsar to late S. Amrik Singh and Kulwant Kaur. He started his teaching career in 1985 when he was appointed a Science Teacher in Guru Tegh Bahadur School, Khankot. His way of teaching was so impressive that after working in this school and later on in Springdales Sr. Sec. School, he got an opportunity in 1994 to work as Principal of Maharaja Ranjeet Singh Senior Secondary School, Taran Taran. In 1997, he was invited to become the Principle of the main school of the Chief Khalsa Diwan, namely, Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School, G.T. Road, Amritsar. Presently, he is not only the principal of that school, but also holds the position of the Director Education of Chief Khalsa Diwan Charitable Society and Chairman of Sarvodaya Schools Complex, Amritsar. He is also co-ordination of CBSE Panchkula, CTET and J.E.E. He is an ideal teacher who believes in imparting a value based education to the students. He is also an effective Administrator, a pragmatic and good motivator and a visionary to introduce modern techniques and methods of teaching. He has received a number of honours and awards for his professional ability. These awards include CBSE Teacher’s Award 2008 (International Level) by M.H.R.B., Govt. of India, National Award for Teachers (2011), honour by Mayor of Liverpool and Vice Chancellor Liverpool University, U.K. in 2011 and honour by Director Rice University U.S.A. and former Director of NASA in 2012. Many Organisations have honoured him with Best Teacher Award. He has published many articles and books and participated in various programmes for the welfare of the students, community and the Nation on the whole. He is a popular role model and enjoys excellent rapport with students, their parents, colleagues, staff and the management.
