Amardeep Singh


Amardeep Singh, an Engineer, an active social worker and a Sikh preacher in Assam, was born on 29th
October 1982 at Sivasagar, Assam, India. He had his education in Gowahati and Dibrugarh completing the
same with a bachelor’s degree in Geology and a Master’s degree in Applied Geology, University of Dibrugarh,
Assam. He is still persuing his Ph.D. in Sedimentology from Dibrugarh University as part time student. He
started his career by joining a company WEATHER FORD SLSME & AFRICA in 2008 wherein he worked
as a Mud logging Geologist in Tripura and Rajasthan. After working for three years in this company, he
got appointed as Data Engineer in OFI Pvt. Ltd. with a posting in Assam. Presently, he is working as a Data
Engineer or Mud logging Geologist in Geolog International B.V. Italy, and as a part of his job he has to
frequently visit West African countries, Angola, Namibia, Ivore Coast etc.

Thus, he has gained during all
these years a worldwide experience on deep water and HPHT wells in off short and on short stratigraphy, in
realizing and interpretation of hydraulic and well control calculation, Data collection, storage and dispatch
to the client and preparation and submission of all kinds of requisite reports and logs. His experience as Mud
logging Geologist and a senior Mud logging Geologist includes his experience not only in India, but also in
various other countries. He is a role-model not merely because he has gained considerable experience and a
reputation of a dedicated scientist in his field, but also because he is a devout Sikh and is living like a Gursikh
devoting his available time in the service of humanity. Whenever he gets an opportunity to serve the people
in any difficult situation, he devotes his time and attention to that aspect of Seva. He is associated with many
such organizations including Aid Khalsa which are working in this direction to fulfill the Gursikh concept of
Sarbat Da Bhala. S. Amardeep Singh is one of the few Sikhs who are projecting the Gursikh image by doing
such a seva in the eastern part of the country.
