Bhai Pinderpal Singh

Description

Bhai Pinderpal Singh is perhap the most charismatic Katha Vachak of the present times. His popularity reminds us of Giani Sant Singh Maskeen who remained quite popular till his death in 2005. Bhai PinderpalSingh was born in the village Tharva Majra, Distt. Karnal, Haryana in July 1966 in the house of S. Hardyal Singh and Bibi Balbir Kaur. He received his early education at his village and then studied at Gurmat Missionary College in Ropar, Punjab. He started his preaching by Katha at Ludhiana where he generally used to do Katha at Gurdwara Kalgidhar Sahib. Gradually when his fame as a Katha Vachak spread he started giving his Katha programmes at different places in India and aboard. He has an excellent knowledge of Gurbani and Sikh history and a beautiful style of presenting his subect with illustrations and examples. However, the illustrations and examples that he gives are only from Gurmat and not any other external source. The magic and conviction of his Katha lies in the deep passion and love with which he speaks. He quotes Gurbani extensively during the course of his Katha and backs up everything he says with Gurbani. He attributes his success as a Katha Vachak entirely to Guruji’s bakshish. Unlike other Katha Vachaks he does not support any particular group or political party. He is a model of Sikh lifestyle as he lives his life in a very simple, unassuming and humble way. He effectively lives what he preaches and it is for this reason that he has become a great role model for the Sikh youth of today. He is always conciliatory in his approach and believes in convincing others through discussion rather than applying any kind of force. He is always positive in his approach and does not believe to be critical of any individual, organization or issue. He has done Katha at Gurdwara Manji Sahib, Sri Harmandir Sahiar, Amritsar many a times. A large numbers of his cassettes and recordings on social media are circulated throughout the world. His Katha is also telecast daily on PTC Punjabi Channel. Undoubtedly, being the most popular Katha Vachak of the day, he is a source of inspiration for all of us and will remain a role-model for the coming generations.
