Char Sahibzade

The period of Guru Gobind Singh Ji in the Sikh history witnessed a revolution against all kinds of injustice and oppression. His four sons, Baba Ajit Singh, Baba Jujhar Singh, Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh sacrificed their lives and strengthened the roots of the new religion. The elder two sons fought in the battle of Chamkaur which was an unequal battle in which only 40 persons on Guru’s Side fought with 1000 soldiers against them. The two Sahibzadas, 19 years old and 15 years old respectively gave a heroic fight and ultimately became martyrs after killing a large number of person of the enemy side. The two younger sons Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh were bricked alive by Suba Sarhind and with this sacrifice they became the youngest martyrs in the history of world religions.
