Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib
Gurdwara sis Ganj is situated at Chandni Chowk near Red Fort in Delhi.
This is the place where, the ninth Guru, Tegh Bahadar Ji was beheaded at
the behest of Aurangzeb, the Mughal Emperor at Delhi. The Guru scarified
his life to protect Hindu religion, which was being destroyed by large scale
conversions forced by the ruler, In fact, the Guru supported the principle
of freedom of religion for all. This Gurdwara was first established in 1783
when General Baghel Singh conquered Delhi.
