The prominent cities of Gujarat which have significant Sikh population are Baroda (now called Vadodra), Surat and Ahmadabad. In Baroda, Gurdwara Nanakwadi Singh Sabha located near Khanderao Market is believed to be a historical Gurdwara as the place is stated to have been visited by Sri Guru Nanak Dev Ji in 1515 after coming from Bharuch. It is stated that Guru Ji had a bath from a well still located in the old Gurdwara area. A Good number of devotees visit Gurdwara every day.
