Gurdwaras in Mandi and Rawalsar

Pradesh situated in Mandi and Rawalsar. Both these Gurdwaras are also associated with the travels of Guru Gobind Singh. Mandi was visited by him when Raja Sidh Sen had invited him. This Gurdwara is notable as some of Guru’s belongings are still preserved here. The same are a Bed, Rabab (musical instrument), a Bandukh (Musket/Gun), a Gun Kuppy (powder horn) and a Talai (Mattress). Mandi Sahib Gurdwara can be contacted on Phone no. 01905-235535. Rawalsar is another place where the Guru stayed to hold a meeting with the Rajas of Hill States for giving a united fight to the Mughals. The location of this Gurdwara is on a hill side above the lake (this is a natural lake with floating islands at aptitude of 1360 sea level ) and can be easily seen from a great distance due to its pristine blue colour and massive domes. There is a water tank near the Gurdwara where the people take a holy dip. The Namdhari sect among the Sikhs give this Gurdwara great importance as it is mentioned in a compilation known as Sau Sakhi (stories compiled from the life of Guru Gobind Singh).
