The Hemkunt Trust was constituted with a view to see all aspects of management relating to the famous Sikh Shrine Sri Hemkunt Sahib. When the way to Sri Hemkunt Sahib closes because of the snow, the trust ensures the timely removal of the snow so that the gates of the Shrine open in the month of May to enable them to visit the Shrine. Many other arrangements like the stay of the devotees, providing Langar at appropriate places and making their journey safe and comfortable, are also done by the Trust. The founder trustees of this Trust were S. Gurbux Singh Bindra and S. Shamsher Singh. Presently, the Trust consists of A Chairman, Vice Chairman and members.
