Jagdip Singh

Jagdip Singh is a renowned Sikh of Houston (USA), he is currently serving as Executive Director of I.A.C.C.G.H. (Indian American Chamber of Commerce of Greater Houston. In fact, he was the founding Secretary of the IACCGH, which was created to facilitate the business between USA and India. S. Ahluwalia was born in India and after doing his graduation in Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology, he shifted to USA. He has not only won name and fame in his manufacturing business, but also gained a rich experience of more than 30 years in teaching, business management and consulting. Among his social activities, he became a member of various organizations including the Rotary Club of Memorial Spring branch and led a Rotary group study exchange from Houston to India. His main interest has always been to promote the business between the two countries. He has worked actively at Forging Alliances with various chambers and Economic Agencies in Houston and India. A member of the Houston District Export Council he is a past chair of the Mayor’s International Trade Council for South Asia (MITDC). He was recognized by the Greater Dallas Indo American Chamber and honoured with their Outstanding Leadership Award for his role in forming the Alliance of Indo American Chambers in the US. In April 2014, Jagdip was honoured at the Greater Houston Procurement Breakfast for his tireless advocacy for business in, for and with Houston and at the India Culture Center Annual Republic Day Celebrations received their award for his leadership role in promoting economic development and job growth in our region and for his continued efforts over the last 15 years in fostering Indo US bilateral trade, taking the IACCGH to greater heights and strengthening the bonds of the Greater Houston business community. He has become a role-model in the business circles of Houston and among all those who are interested in strong business ties between USA and India.
