Jyotswaroop Kaur, an American Sikh youth is the Education Director of SALDEF. She had graduated with an M.A. in Public Administration, Non-Profit Management and Policy degree from the Wagner School of Public Service at New York University, and received her B.A. in English with minor in Conflict Resolution from the University of California at Irvine. With her experience of administration and management, she joined SALDEF’s Southern California office with 10 years of experience in youth education programs, teaching, economic and social justice work. She also oversees much of the community relations work, including the Law Enforcement Partnership Program. Jyotswaroop also serves on the Board of Director of SAJE (Strategic Actions for a Just Economy) – a community based organization in South Los Angeles. Her social activities with different organizations have made her a role-model who has been and will continue to inspire the youth particularly the Sikh youth to come forward and promote such like welfare activities.
