Kuldeep Singh Takhar

Kuldeep Singh Takhar, popularly known as K.S. Makhan is a famous Punjabi, Bhangra, romantic pop singer, who was born in village Shankar, Nakodar, Punjab. He shifted to Surrey in British Columbia, Canada and there he won tremendous popularity as a singer. His first album was Numbra Te Milde. he has worked with music producer Aman Hayer and musicians Sukhpal Sukh and Atul Sharma. His voice fused with Aman Hayer’s music have enabled him to stay with the lead pack of Punjabi singers. His albums include Giassi, Billo, Muskan, Yaar Mastaane, Good Luck Charm and James Bond. His other tracks are Mitran Di Motor, Takle, Gabru Top Da, Fight, Talwaaran, Sitare, Jatt Warga Yaar, Band Botle, Badmasshi and Pakka Yaar. In 2012, he reached number one with his tract ‘Dil Vich Vas Gayi’. He also acted in films like ‘Pinky Moge Wali’ and ‘Sajjan – The Real Friend’. He tried his luck in politics also when he faoght 2014 Parliament election from Anandpur Sahib as a Bahujan Samaj Party candidate. With the popularity he earned during all these years, he became a role-model among the music lovers. However, with the turn of his mind, when he decided in April 2013 to adopt Sikhi Sarup and become Amritdhari, his role-model image became all the more popular in the Sikh circles. He also decided that he will sing thereafter religious songs and his albums like Khalse Kalgidhar De and Dastar. Coming thereafter became very popular. The role model Gursikh singer now lives in Surrey with his family.
