Madhusuden Singh Panesar

Madhusuden Singh Panesar, generally known as Monty Panesar, is a British Sikh Crickter, who was born on 25.04.1982 in Luton (England). His parents S. Paramjit Singh and Gursharan Kaur had migrated from Punjab in 1979. Monty had his education in Luton ending with a degree in Computer Science from Loughborough University. He was a Cricket Player right from his School Days. He played his first test match against India in 2007 and then continued his career in test matches against Srilanka, Newzealand, Australia and West Indies. He also played some one day Cricket Matches. He is known as a Bowler and his best performance was in a Super Eight’s group game against Bangladsh where he took 3/25 off his seven overs which included two maidens. Afterwords, he played for Sussex and Northamptonshire as per contracts with them. When his contract for two years with Sussex ended in 2015, he returned to play for Northamptonshire Manveer Singh Panesar Madhusuden Singh Panesar Mahinderpal Singh 500 Sikh 245 Role Models and is presently playing for them. He is a Sikh role model for having shown his excellence as a cricketer in a foreign country.
Moreover, he is a proud Sikh and has been quoted as saying, ” I follow Sikhism, and maybe I’ve channeled the discipline that religion creates into my CRICKET. There’s discipline with any religion and you can take it into a game or into anything else” (The Sunday Times, 6 August 2006) Panesar has uncut hair and a full length beard, which is a fundamental part of the Sikh identity and way of life. he won the 2006 Beard of the Year completion run by the Beard Liberaton Front. With his firm faith in Sikh identity and teachings, he is living with his family in England.
