At 102, there is no way stopping Man Kaur, an Indian splinter, who recently added another feather to her cap by winning a gold at the World Masters Athletics in the 200m event. Here’s all you need to know about Indian super granny who is winning hearts all around the world.

Man Kaur (born March 1, 1916) is an Indian track-and-field athlete.

  1. She holds the world records in the Over-100 years old categories for a variety of events.
  2. Man Kaur has won multiple gold medals at the World Masters Athletics Championships.In anticipation of the 2017 World Masters Games, Kaur trained regularly at Punjabi University, in hopes of improving upon her own world record which she set over the years.
  3. Her coach was her son Gurdev Singh, age 79.
  4. She started running in 2009, when her son, Gurdev Singh, who’s now 80, urged her to take up track and field.
  5. Since starting her competitive career, Kaur has run in meets in Canada, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore and Taiwan. And she’s nailed 32 gold medals.
    In Auckland, New Zealand this April, she won gold for the 100-meter and 200-meter runs as well as two new sports: javelin and shot put.
  6. In Auckland, Kaur broke the master category world record in javelin with her 16-foot throw.
