When SGPC was constituted, the historical Gurdwaras in Himachal Pradesh were placed under its management control. However, with the passage of time, the position changed and separate committees were formed for the respective Gurdwaras in this state. Thus, there is a separate management committee for Gurdwara at Mandi, for the Gurdwara at Rivalsar and also for the Gurdwara at Paonta Sahib. Presently, S. Surinderpal Singh Bhatia is the President of Mandi Gurdwara Committee. This Committee has a hold over the management of Gurdwara Rivalsar also. So far Sri Paonta Sahib Committee is concerned, the President of the SGPC is the ex-officio President of the committee. However, the de-fecto President who looks after all the management activities is the Vice President of the Committee. At present, the Vice President is S. Harbhajan Singh (94185-07150) and S. Rajinder Singh Rajan is the General Secretary (98975-80043). It may be mentioned here that Jathedar Baba Nihal Singh, Harian Velan is one of the members of this committee. Further, this committee has no control over the other Gurdwaras in the surrounding areas near Paonta Sahib
like Bhangani Sahib, Nadoun Sahib etc. there are separate committees for each of the gurdwaras.
