Narinder Singh, an Art Teacher in Amritsar in an upcoming artist, who combines the skills of a painter and a sculptor. He was born on 09.05.1974 at Amritsar. After completing his education, he adopted the carrier of an Art Teacher. He has been fond of making paintings and articals from discarded wood pieces from his young age. As he started displaying his paintings in Solo & Group Exhibitions, he got a good deal of applause from Art Lovers. He is, perhaps, one of the few artists who can create beautiful creations by using wood. The male and female images and idols carved by him on wood look as full of life. His creation of Ek-Onkar in various styles in wood are among his best creations. Any art lover feels delighted to see them. He became associated with various Art galleriesand organizations like Punch rang, Amritsar, Art Form of India, Amritsar, Virsa Vihar Sadan, Amritsar and Indian Acameny of Fine Arts, Amritsar. He has held his shows not only in Amritsar, but also at various State level and All India Exhibitions. Whereas, he won awards at All India Exhibitions of Fine Arts (IAFA) in 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2012, he was also awarded in the fist state Exhibition of Arts-2014. Many other acadamies and societies have also honored him for his artistic creations. These honors include Silver Plaque “S. Dharam Singh Engineer” Memorial Award in 74th All India Exhibition of Arts IAFA, 2008, Artist of the year 2014. in 3rd Delhi International Film Festival 2014 and Life Time Achivement Award from Indian Academy of Fine Arts, Amritsar 2015.
