Taran Singh is a 3D Artist from U.K. He is an expert in 3D Technologies and has worked as a 3D Designer and Visualizer within the architectural and engineering industries for the past 12 years and has a Master’s degree in Computer Aided Design. He is a role-model not because of his exceptional skill as a 3D artist, but because of his use of this skill for the cause of Sikh religion. He has a passion to create Sikh history through his art as he is highly inspired by the stories of the brave Sikh warriors. He wants to create something that would remind people of their bravery and celebrate their inspirational sacrifice. He has produced 3D creations of Sikh weapons, and Punjabi alphabets for promoting the Punjabi language and culture. Regarding Punjabi alphabets, his paper craft 3D model is a prototype for printable alphabet templates that can be used by parents and teacher for teaching Punjabi. He was also curator and developer of the Sikh Cyber Museum Project which was the first online Anglo-Sikh heritage resource in 2003 (www. sikhcybermuseum.org). He is currently working with the Sikh Museum Initiative to preserve Sikh relics and artefacts by making interactive 3D digital copies. He has also undertaken commercial projects to develop 3D printing of Sikh figures from history to bring stories of our ancestors back to life (www.taran3d.com). He is also the co-founder of the Art Sikh Initiative which aims to help support and cultivate Sikh art and culture at www.artsikh.com. He is definitely a unique role-model in this regard.
