Gurdwaras controlled by Sikh Preachers

In addition to some Sampradas started during the period of the gurus or thereafter, many new sects among the Sikhs started emerging in the form of followers of Sikh Preachers. These Sikh Preachers were originally singers of Gurbani or Katha Vachaks or Speakers of various Gurbani issues. Some of them started affixing such words as Sant or Baba before their names. These titles of Sants or Babas were mainly appended to their name by their followers. However, the following in such cases gradually increased to such an extent that they established their fixed places of preaching. For example, a very famous pious soul existed 75 years ago with his Centre of Meditation at Jagraon, a place near Ludhiana.
