Kulbir Singh Puri is the son of late Yogi Harbhajan Singh and Singh Sahiba bibi Inderjit Kaur. He
is carrying on successfully the mission and the business setup by his parents. Thus, being a member of
the International Khalsa Council of Sikh Dharma International, an organization started by his father,
he is the minster of Divinity of the said organization. As he was trained in the art of communication,
he understands the importance of building community process through open and responsive, culturally
competent communications. He worked directly with the FBI for more than ten years in outreach programs
to help increase public awareness of Sikh and Asian communities and to help bridge understanding with
law enforcement. He is also a successful business entrepreneur in real-estate investment, and fine art
connoisseur, with an inborn talent for the art appreciation and recognizing talented artists and quality in
art in all its subtle gradations. He is a KRI certified Kundalini Yoga teacher, who has dedicated his life to
service and education. He is an active Interfaith Leader working to develop common ground in support
of communities, and he sits on the Board of Youth Development, Inc., (YDI) a nationally recognized
youth service organization that provides educational, developmental and humanitarian assistance to
children, youth and families, in programs such as tutoring, after-school activities, gang intervention, dropout
prevention, family counseling services, and many others. Kulbir, being passionate about education
programs for youth, spearheaded the effort with his father, to acquire a land grant for the Miri Piri Academy
in Amritsar, India, and he oversaw the construction of the school. Today in its 19th year the Miri Piri
Academy serves an international student body in the spirit of theKhalsa to train future leaders, teachers
and healers of the world through rigorous discipline, quality academics and a strong sense of self. Kulbir
served as a personal Ambassador on behalf of his father and Sikh Dharma to receive hundreds of religious
and political leaders throughout the world, and he has a strong commitment and capability to help bridge
understanding between Western and Indian sangats. He is a real Sikh role model for his leadership capacity
to form strategies that bring awareness of the Guru’s mission and teachings to the world. He is committed
to building unity and understanding beyond the boundaries of culture, background, national origin, and all
earthly distinctions, as a united Sovereign Khalsa Spiritual Nation. Kulbir travels internationally and resides
with his family in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
