She was awarded the highly prestigious fellowship by Time Warner foundation supported Asia Society, New York for her first feature film screenplay “The Red Autumn” in 2013-14.
She has a broad-based background in Television and Media.
She has worked with India’s largest Broadcaster, Zee TV as a Promo Producer and a Core team member of Trends Ad films on producing TV Commercials.
Her debut independent documentary ‘1984, When the Sun didn’t Rise’ received the “BEST DOCU. FEATURE by an Emerging Filmmaker award in DC Asia Pacific Film festival on March 18, 2017.It is also the recipient of Busan International Film Festival’s prestigious fund called Asian Network and Documentary fund or “AND” Fund in 2015. It has been selected for Work in Progress Lab of “DOC WOK” of Doc Leipzig International Festival for Documentary and Animated Films, Germany in 2014 and the trailer was pitched in DOCEDGE, Kolkata in 2012.
It is the film premiered in India in IDSFFK Kerala on June 18, 2017.
The film is a journey to the Widows Colony in New Delhi wherein Sikh 3000 widows and their families live post the massacre of 1984. It is a narrative of three brave women wherein lives come full circle as each one in her unique way fights for justice and negotiates with memories while being the breadwinner of their families. The film is weaved with voice over and uses rare archival footage to braid the past and the present and explore the largest unrecorded massacre in the history of India.

Her upcoming documentary has been received a grant from PSBT. “The Woods are Calling” is an endangered bird called Blyth’s Tragopan and how a community of hunters in Nagaland have transformed to farmers to conserve the Tragopan and their forest.
‘In Symphony with Earth!’ is a documentary based on the communities in India growing natural fiber and a living sustainable life in tune with nature. It broadcast on National Geographic and Fox History (2012-13).
